Friend’s friend whose mutual friend's 50th birthday celebration is going to be a big bash in NYC and she's ordering fifty shirts for the surprise guests to surprise the guest of honor.
Say that ten times fast! I’m pretty sure it’s close to a proper sentence. Anyways …
He can apparently outdrink, outsizzle and order out better than any of the other queens on the island.

Bohemian Skate School
Back of the Bohemian Skate School's business card. I originally worked on this card several years ago and luckily saved the files in layers so updating the email address wasn't a problem.

Maggie's Chili Cook-off 2010 (Super Bowel?)
Quick graphic for some butcher aprons that Maggie's Neighborhood Bar & Grill gave out as prizes at their yearly Chili Cook-off on Super Bowl Sunday.
It was a real blow-out! Lots of food, fun and flavor all day and into the evening. People really liked the product.

Athens To Atlanta 2009 RoadSkate!
The dust may have settled on the 28th annual Athens to Atlanta RoadSkate, but the exhaustion lingers on.
Sunday, October 11, 2009 = "Whee!" and *ugh*
This year's trophy (coffee mug) and T-shirt design were based on graphics that debuted on the Web site redesign of 2005. Tiny GIF and JPEG image files needed to be recreated for proper screen printing.

Best Bluetooth Headset
The G-Lite Mini is the best performing Bluetooth headset I've ever owned and I have used at least six different models over the years, all from different manufacturers. The range is excellent and works even with your phone in a hip pocket, whereas most breakup if the phone is against your body.
It is not the most comfortable I've worn so I added a third-party earpiece, but your fit may vary.

The Athens To Atlanta Roadkskate 2008
Fall is the time of year to test all that fitness training for many skaters. A final endurance blowout before the Holidays and coming winter. Yes, two-thousand and eight marks the 27th "official" A2A Ultramarathon Roadskate.
This is the final 2008 T-shirt design. The skating figure should look familiar to l-o-n-g time participants and volunteers as it is taken from a scan of an early T-shirt design. For the first dozen or so events the year and colors were what changed most when it came to designing the prized T-shirt and complimentary trophy mug. A little nostalgia and nod to the history of the annual 87 mile jaunt on the open road is what I'm trying to show with this concept.

Decatur Skate Camp 2007
It's time for Decatur Skate Camp 2007! Still run by Bohemian Skate School, but now sponsored by K2 Skates. T-shirts need an update …
Last year, Rollerblade sponsored the Camp with Bohemian Skate School. Both the past and present company logos are incorporated into the city of Decatur logo and the graphic is saved as a layered Adobe Photoshop file so updating will be simpler. Now the artwork can be output in its present rendering or, by turning different layers on and others off, with the Rollerblade logo showing. In addition, the City Of Decatur logo remains unchanged if all layers are left unselected.

Logo Redo for Troop
The client only had a worn T-shirt to provide as artwork so I scanned the left chest graphic into Adobe Photoshop.
I then searched for similar artwork and found the eagle with the Fleur de Lis ... said to signify perfection, light, and life. From there I used Adobe Illustrator to create the rope, knot and align the text. Luckily, a common typeface was used.
Here's an example of the final graphic.

Latino Heritage Month 2006 T-shirt (Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport)
It's time for another Latino Heritage Month shirt graphic. My initial design submission was based on the few parameters that were communicated to me ... Yellow-gold shirt color with a "bright" and "wow" reaction. It was apparently not safe enough and was more specific to ancient American Indian Mayan and Quiché.
Here's the final graphic used that was based on the poster and flyer that the Airport was using for their promotion. Unfortunately, due to time constraints, the graphic was heat transferred and not screen printed so the colors did not "pop" like in this image.

Very Satisfied
First, I'd like to thank Ezra (iTunes Store Customer Support) for cueing a previous iTunes purchase so I could download it again. "Yay!" Luckily, I think I've unwittingly lost or deleted only one purchased music file. Overall, how satisfied was I with my recent support experience? Very Satisfied.
Quoted from Customer Support email:
"Dear Kenneth, I'm sorry to hear that you lost your iTunes Store purchase. I know how distressing that can be, so I've made the content you lost available for you to download again, free of charge. Please understand that Apple does not offer protection against the loss of your purchases, so this is a one-time exception."
My suggestion, sent to Apple in an online follow up survey for the iTMS, is to simply allow previous purchases to be re-downloaded as long as the users account still actively exists and, of course, the file content is available. All the account info is kept so as long as Apple can and does legally sell a particular file (music or video) why not? The data is still subject to the same DRM so "let it be" ... Oh yeah, those guys' record company still think people confuse computers with them.

Lost Works of Art
I got a call this AM from a customer who needs an image of a shirt I did for them a while back. Now, I keep everything ... But I cannot find a trace of this one anywhere!!! All I seem to have are the two obscure check stubs from her clients as payment for the print job. Nothing from her, no artwork or records specific to the actual job! Out of all the junk and nitpicky stuff I save I find it strange that this entire job's work and records are missing. What the hail?
PS: I actually found a printed shirt from that project in my giant pile o'shirts! I could scan it, but, I'll recreate it instead. The map was still available online and with a little modifying shouldn't be difficult to recreate the print.

Bohemian Inline Skating
I gotta do some shirts for Bohemian Skate School's Decatur Parks and Rec inline skating summer camp and I have no idea what color or anything to use. All I can picture is just black graphics on plain white tees ... that's no good, is it? *Uhg*
This is the full color logo from the Decatur, GA Website.
UPDATE
Here's the final graphic that was created for the city of Decatur's (Georgia) McKoy Skate Camp 2006. Superduper thanks go out to Graphic Designer Marie of Art Studio Five in Boca Raton, Florida for correctly identifying the typeface used. I was told everyone liked it and the city's park directors even asked where their shirts were! ¡ Woo-Hoo !
This version of the Bohemian Skate School logo went on the back of the T-shirts.

Hopes Dashed!
H.G. Wells' War Of The Worlds
I followed the little hype there was and eagerly anticipated the release of this movie. Pre-ordered the DVD when it was announced that this movie was going straight to disc. Whoa! I was stunned in disappointment.
I think I know what happened, though. When it was discovered that there were others simultaneously creating WOTW movies and all chance of getting a last minute budget infusion evaporated ... this DVD is what remains. A movie devoid of proper computer effects rendering and film editing. The footage wasn't edited into a theatrically distributable form. Out of a love of the original idea, nearly everything usable that was shot simply got added onto the disc. "Take 1, take 2, take 3 ..." they're all included ad nauseam.
Just a little more time, editing and (of course) money could have saved this thing from being the lamentable epic that it is. Embarrassing to watch, really ... I'm NOT kidding. Resurrection anyone? Peter Jackson?

My Brother-in Law stopped by the other day to "help" trim the big ol' cherry apple blossom tree plant that's been taking over the driveway and electric lines at my house. He just happened to have his chainsaw in the mini van with him that day. I knew I was in for more than was necessary.
Also, he conveniently left before the power company guy arrived so the guy's looking at me like I'm the idiot.
Asks, "You didn't do this, did you?"
The overhanging limb was being cut far from the offending power lines ... when we started. There was one nub of a precut limb from previous years trimming that might hang on the lines, otherwise, the limb should just have fallen. Well, just to make sure the limb clears I see he's got a rake to try and push with. Sparks fly and several popping sounds later ... Couldn't have tangled it in there better if it'd been done on purpose.
